NOBODY’S PLAYED AT A MVP LEVEL AFTER SUFFERING THE WORST INJURY IN SPORTS UNTIL NOW
The Slim Reaper suffered a torn achilles, the worst injury in sports, during the 2019 NBA Finals which led to him missing the entire 2019-20 season. This is extremely difficult to come back from but KD looks like he hasn’t missed a beat. He averaged 26.9 PPG during his first season back, his most since the 2015-16 campaign, and is the fifth leading scorer in this year’s postseason.
KD’s 32-pt outing on Monday has Brooklyn up 2-0 in the conference semifinals against who many believe is the Nets top competition in the East, with hopes of a ring on the way. This injury has ended many athletes’ careers, but Durant has never looked better during his first year back, which could be his most impressive feat yet.
